Detoxifying Bath Salts Recipe


I take a mineral salt bath almost every night as part of my evening ritual. The combination of Epsom salts and baking soda are an excellent way to help draw out the impurities in the body, and are beneficial for removing any negative energy you might have encountered throughout the day. If you are not a bath taker, you can use my mineral salts recipe as a body scrub while you shower, and receive the same benefits; they leave your skin feeling fresh and revitalized; like you’ve been at the beach all day!

I add lavender and peppermint essential oils to my bath salts, and is optional; feel free to replace the lavender and peppermint with your favorite oils, any that you have on hand, or skip the oils all together.

You can double or quadruple the recipe so always have some on hand; they are great to give as gifts as well.

2 cups epsom salts

1/2 cup baking soda

1/4 cup Himalayan or sea salt (if you don't have either, Epsom is fine to use) 30 drops lavender essential oil

10 drops of peppermint essential oil

Mix all of your ingredients in a medium size bowl, and store in a air tight jar. Use 1/4 cup per bath. This recipe will make ten 1/4 cup servings.
