I love ❤️ my green smoothies! I have one just about every morning! They are great for snacks, too! Greens are great for detoxifying and cleansing our bodies, and give us great hair and skin...it's no wonder that they are so plentiful right now! ⠀ ⠀ Here's the recipe template for my green good morning smoothie that packs two servings of greens. Using frozen fruit saves prep time; when building your smoothie, think of building a parfait in your blender! ⠀ ⠀
⠀ 1 cup non dairy milk of choice⠀
2 heaping handfuls of greens (spring mix, spinach, and baby kale are most mild in flavor)⠀ 1/2 cup fresh or frozen fruit
1/2 banana, fresh or frozen (peel and slice overly ripe bananas and place them in a container in your freezer so they are ready to go for your smoothie)⠀ 1 scoop of protein powder, or 1 tablespoon nut butter⠀⠀ 1 tablespoon collagen (optional)⠀ 1 tablespoon chia, flax, or hemp seeds⠀ Ice on top⠀
1/2 to 1 cups water, for thinning (using collagen and protein powders will thicken the smoothie somewhat)⠀ Place all ingredients in a high speed blender for about 90 seconds or so; add water to thin to desired consistency. Do a taste test and see if you want to add a touch of honey, stevia, or cinnamon to taste; turn the blender back on to blend your final ingredients, and enjoy!⠀ ⠀
