Are You Stressed Out? Here Is a Great Way To Relax!

Updated: Nov 30, 2020

Hello my friend...how's it going with you?

Man! There's a TON of stuff going on right now... and do you want to know how I am choosing to hande it? I refuse to let what is going on in the outside world dictate how I feel, how I act; and who I am at my core being. Even though I cannot change what is going on in the outside world, I will not let that change me as a person or my attitude about life. Today I want to teach you a really cool breath it's called the 5-5-7 breath. (it's a favorite amongst my clients) and it's great way to help calm and relax you when you're feeling anxious, or just want to plain feel more at ease! It looks like this:

  • Inhale for a count of 5, hold for a count of 5, exhale for a count of 7.

  • Inhale for a count of 5..

  • (Count slowly to yourself as you inhale for .1..2..3..4..5..)

  • Hold for 5..

  • (Count slowly to yourself as you hold for.5...4...3..2..1...)

  • Now exhale for the count of 7.

  • (Count slowly to yourself as you exhale for..7...6...5..4..3..2..1)..

This breath can be done anytime; before eating for better digestion, to help get better sleep, or when you just want to feel a little more relaxed; it actually fools your brain into thinking that you are calm. and eventially it ends up that you are calm! I like to do it when I am driving, and as a meditative breath first thing in the morning.

Do you find yourself wishing there were more hours in a day so you could just have time for you?
